Summer is here, and it is glorious.
The children are loving embracing the outdoors and celebrating having much desired time off school.
The summer is going to be a adventurous time for us, we plan on being busy.
Our first excursion was to the delight that is Millets Farm Centre to pick our own fruit – thrifty style!
Millets Farm is in Oxfordshire and is a fantastic day out with the kids. As well as picking your own fruit you can buy some incredible goodies in the farm shop. You can take the kids into the Millets Maize Maze, a farm zoo and a playground.
For today we focused on picking fruit and playing on the beach inside the garden centre.
We plan on returning for some Maze fun, possible towards the end of August when they offer torchlight nights. You can take exploring to a whole new level in the dark and run around until 10pm at night. Hot food is also on offer to keep energy stores high!
We left the farm laden with tasty blackberries, raspberries and strawberries and some succulent plums. Plus I had tired and happy children, so a great start to the holidays.
